What a
Wonderful World
0:03 - Monkey enters from the left facing right.
0:06 – Monkey begins to sing. “I see trees of green...red
roses too, I see them bloom...for me and you, and I think to myself...what a
wonderful world.”
0:34 – Monkey continues singing. “I see skies of blue...clouds
of white, the bright blessed days...the dark sacred nights, and I think to
myself...what a wonderful world.”
0:58 – Crocodile enters from the right facing the left.
1:00 – Crocodile begins to sing. “The colours of the
rainbow...so pretty in the sky are also on the faces...of people going by. I
see friends shaking hands ’saying how do you do?’ They’re really saying...I
love you.”
1:21 – Crocodile zooms out and eats the monkey. Monkey
disappears. Crocodile leaves by dropping out of the shot. *Stops recording*
1:23 – *Begins Recording* they both reappear. Monkey enters
again from the left facing the right and the Crocodile enters again from the
right facing the left.
1:25 – I enter from the bottom of the picture facing the sky.
1:27 – Myself, the Crocodile and the Monkey continue singing.
“I hear babies cry...I watch them grow, they’ll learn much more...than I’ll
ever know, and I think to myself...what a wonderful world.”
1:51 – All Together. “Yes I think to myself, what a wonderful
world.”
2:06 – All turn, face the cloth and bow. Then walk off into
the horizon by pulling the puppets away from cloth so they disappear from being
out of focus.
