Task 2. Film Production - How Did You Do That?

Film Production:

Film Production often begins with the 3 stages of Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production. The key components that make well-planned films which contain key factors such as script-writing, setting and location, assembling of cast and crew members.

Pre-Production:

The first stages of the Pre-Production include various different sources of funding for the creation of the film, such as funding through The National Lottery, private funding, E.I.S, personal funds and advertisements such as product placement. The National Lottery and product placement being the methods most often used, and personal funds being the method the minority of the wealthy resort to. The funding varies on the intentions of the Director and what genre he wants his film to consist of. The funding also varies on whether or not the Director decides to contemplate the thought of a short film.



Production:

The Production process consists of the actual filming deriving from the steady work of the camera crew. Other personnel such as Property Masters, Colourists, Picture Editor, and Gaffer ensure that the production process isn't halted buy any inconvenient circumstances and maintain the consistency needed in the production process.


Post-Production:

The inclusion of the essential editing such as sound and dialogue editing. Visual effects and background sound are added to add substantial effect. Background music is then added to heighten the drama over proceedings as non diegetic is implemented into the film.
